Ice Cream Memories

Everyone has a favorite ice cream memory. One of my husband's favorite memories of his grandparents is driving with them on a Sunday afternoon. I remember sitting next to my mom in the car after she picked me up from school and at the same exact moment we said, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" And with mischievous grins on our faces we both said, "Baskin Robbins!" It was a magic moment that I've never forgotten. There is just something about ice cream that can bring two people together to bond!

But doesn't ice cream ever get boring? I don't think so! Here are some ideas to have some fun on Mommy and Me Day with ice cream:
  • Go to your favorite ice cream shop and split a sundae!

  • Stay home and do ice cream art. Design your own sundaes or create ice cream snowmen. You can even use food coloring to make ice cream in different colors! You can take pictures of them afterwards and then the best part is you can eat them!

  • Get an old ice cream maker and show your kids how ice cream was made in the old days

  • Skip going to Marble Slab and make your own creations at home! Break out the sprinkles, cookies or better yet bake brownies to crumble up in your ice cream.

There are so many cool ways to enjoy ice cream. Do have a favorite ice cream memory with your Mom or Grandma? Does your family have an ice cream tradition? Share your ice cream story!
