Discuss: JIF's Most Creative Peanut Butter Contest. Your child can enter to win $25,000!

Now speaking of lunch, probably the most popular ingredient in school lunches is Peanut Butter! Its too bad this contest wasn't around when Elvis Presley was a kid, or his grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich may have won! So, check it out: JIF is putting on a contest to find the recipe for the most creative peanut butter sandwich. What's in it for them? The winner gets a $25,000 scholarship fund! Now that's not too shabby! Plus you get to have fun in the kitchen!

My suggestion is to take your "Mommy and Me Day" and have fun in the kitchen with some peanut butter! It may get messy, put on old t-shirts and have fun! Here are the details:

The Winners Receive:

• Grand Prize: One $25,000 scholarship fund and one Jifgift basket (ARV: $25,050)
• Four runner-up prizes: $2,500 scholarship fund and one Jifgift basket (ARV: $2,550) each
• Remaining five Online Finalist prizes: One Jif gift basket each (ARV: $50)

A Few Rules to Note:

• One entry per person. The sandwich name, recipe and photo submitted must be original
• Recipes must specify which variety of peanut butter (Creamy, Crunchy, Honey, etc.) is used.
• Recipes may not include branded ingredients besides Smucker brands (Smucker’s®, Pillsbury® baking mixes, frostings, or flours, Jif®, Hungry Jack®, Crisco®, etc.).
• You cannot submit multiple entries. If you do you are disqualified.

Dates to Remember:

• Contest entry ends November 13, 2009.
• The 10 potential Online Finalists will be chosen on or about December 9, 2009 and notified via telephone or mail.
• Online voting is open to the public and will take place from on or about January 11, 2010, until on/about February 12, 2010 on www.jif.com.
• Event Finalists will be chosen on or about February 12, 2010.
• Winner will be announced to the public on or about March 19, 2010.
